We had been searching for some time for a particular property to accommodate 3 generations of our family. Merryfield Farmhouse on paper was ideal for us and so it proved to be in reality. The bedroom configuration was exactly what we wanted and all with ensuites. Downstairs the huge country style kitchen, large comfortable lounge, and separate living room provided plenty of space for everyone. The games room and indoor heated swimming pool were the real bonus (especially as the weather wasn't brilliant). Even the family dog was catered for with secure garden areas to roam in and an outdoor shower for cleaning muddy paws after walks down the country lanes.
Our host couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating during our stay from when we arrived to when we departed.
Anything we needed he was on hand to accommodate us. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he made us extremely welcome throughout our stay. The house and its amenities were excellent and exactly as stated in the property information provided online.
Merryfield Farmhouse is a gem in the Cornwall countryside and we already talking about a revisit in the future.

Just returned from Christmas at Merryfield Farmhouse.
Had a wonderful time with our family.
The huge stunning family kitchen most popular with everyone.

We had a fantastic family holiday at Merryfield, the games room and pool are brilliant and we had lots of fun there.
The farmhouse is large, airy and comfortable, with all the facilities one would want and a big kitchen for cooking or just for sitting around chatting and playing games.
Our host Matthew was friendly and welcoming, and is readily available to answer any questions or look into any problems - not that we had any!

I came to Merryfield farmhouse with 8 of my friends, and we had such an amazing time.
There is plenty of parking space, we managed to fit 4 cars easily.
Everything was even better than we anticipated, you could probably spend a whole week just in the house and not get bored!
Matt was always on hand with anything we needed and always quick to reply.
The value of this place is incredible, especially if you come with a big group!

We (4 adults 4 children age 8-11 and 1 dog) have just spend a fantastic week at Merryfield.
Matt & Debs were wonderfully welcoming and helpful hosts.
This beautiful old farmhouse is amazing.
The whole place was spotlessly clean on arrival. The bedrooms were all very large and comfortable, each with an en-suite bath or shower room and plenty of storage for clothes/ belongings.
The kitchen was large enough for all 8 of us to move around each other comfortably without it feeling cramped. We had some glorious sunny weather during our stay and the lounge stayed lovely and cool to escape the heat if we needed to. All the bedrooms had fans available.
Our whole party loved the swimming pool, games room and outdoor equipment, the kids were never bored. Our average sized 8 year old could easily stand in the pool, but it was still plenty deep enough for us adults to swim too.
The terrace at the back door was the adults’ favourite place for relaxing. It was so peaceful and we loved hearing the cows chatting in the mornings and watching the owls and bats fly after dark.
One of the best things about the property for us was the safely enclosed (large-breed) dog-proof garden and terrace. Our friends’ large black lab-cross is a little bit of a flight risk, but they could let him play happily in the garden without worrying he would escape.
We dragged ourselves away from the house a few times and visited Looe for crabbing and Seaton beach for a dip in the sea and river with the dog (both within 25min drive). We also went to the Eden Project (also only 35-40mins away).

Absolutely gorgeous old Farmhouse tucked away just outside Liskeard. We stayed for a week, 7 adults and 4 dogs.
The living space is perfect for multiple couples, as there was an ample size lounge where we could all sit but also plenty of break away space. Never felt in each others pockets.
The garden is gorgeous, and brilliantly fenced, no where for our furry friends to escape from.
Well set up for children with an enormous wooden play centre with swings , climbing frame and slide. A basket ball hoop, football net and badminton net and then also a table tennis table!
the garden was also really well thought out, with distinct areas, all fenced and gated, giving safe space for families to enjoy. We loved sitting out in the smaller space out the back door in the mornings for breakfast and on the afternoon for Cornish ice cream!
A real bonus is the outside shower just outside the utility room, perfect for cleaning off sand or muddy pups.
The bedrooms all have en-suites, with the master room sharing with a single room next door, perfect for a couple with young child.
With 2 staircases the bedrooms felt more private. 2 doubles had gorgeous four poster beds...nabbed by our grown up kids and partners!!
Downstairs bedroom is gorgeous and perfect for anyone with mobility problems with its large en-suite wet room. My Mum loved it.
All the bedrooms have usb sockets for charging phones etc...nice touch
Probably my only niggle was no downstairs separate toilet....but honesty it was not an issue (and one is scheduled to be fitted in November 2021).
The Kitchen is and old style farmhouse kitchen. We are a family of cooks and found it workable but not the best layout... (also due to be refitted this year which is great).
The huge kitchen table was fab, we played lots of games in the evenings and of course had lots of meals together. Comfortably seats eight adults, could squeeze more in.
We used the games room which is even better than the photos, we had a lot of fun especially with the air-hockey.
The pool is gorgeous and kept to a lovely warm temperature, it was very clean with plenty of room to swim and play in. same depth throughout, not too deep for kids.
We made use of the sauna which heats up really quickly and the shower in the pool room was really handy.
I'm sure I've forgotten something, but basically this house has everything you need for a big family holiday.
The location is gorgeous, all we could hear were cows mooing , yet we only a couple of minutes away from the town and gorgeous country side
The owners were perfect hosts and gave loads of suggestions for places to go and provided coordinates via What 3 words so we could drive to them easily.
We particularly enjoyed Golitha falls walk followed by lunch at Inkies smoke house which is in the car park... amazing food.

Lovely quiet location but a short drive to Liskeard.

Great location with quick access to Beauty spots and family activities.
Owners were super helpful with advice and even fetched us local fish and chips one night.
Facilities as you can see from the pictures are great but it’s the little touches that the owners made (fresh scones!) that made us feel super welcome!

We stayed here during Oct half term with children aged 11 and 8.
The house is very spacious, especially the large kitchen.
We all loved the games room and swimming pool.
The owners were always on the other end of the phone from booking until our stay to answer our questions (esp during lockdown fears) and local recommendations.
